Accessing the CalTPA Assessment Materials

The 2026–2027 CalTPA Assessment Materials are now available for viewing and downloading on the CTC Performance Assessment Resources website .

As of August 13, 2026, the Single Subject, Multiple Subject, and PK-3 Early Childhood Education Literacy/Cycle 2 Assessment Guides were re-released as Version 2.1. The Multiple Subject and PK-3 Early Childhood Education Template I were also re-released as Version 2.1. All other SS, MS, and PK3 Templates and Math/Cycle 1 Assessment Guides remain as Version 2.0. World Language Assessment Guides and Templates remain as Version 2.0 as well. Submissions received after July 2, 2026, will be assessed according to their respective Version 2.0 or 2.1 rubrics.

Unpacking the CalTPA Assessment Materials

• CalTPA Cycle Guides: a complete set of instructions for completing the cycle, including the evidence candidates are required to submit and the rubrics against which candidates will be assessed
• CalTPA Cycle Templates: downloadable Word documents candidates use to provide their responses to cycle prompts and submit as evidence for their cycle
• CalTPA Assessment Materials Updates: a corrections-after-publishing list showing any changes and/or versioning to cycle guides and templates after publication
• CalTPA Evidence Table Crosswalks: an overview of assessment changes from the previous year to the current year
• CalTPA Program Guide: a supplemental guide for program faculty and candidates providing additional supports and insights into the foundational concepts of the CalTPA
